Our Story
Serenity Church was birthed in the midst of a storm. At the height of the COVID-19 global pandemic, a small group of faithful believers was called to organize what would become Serenity Church. We are a contemporary church with traditional values. We believe in the power of faith and the importance of personal responsibility and integrity. We are the recipients of grace and strive to love, witness, and serve without limit.

Our Pastor
Reverend Page is a native of South Suburban Chicago. He accepted the call to ministry at the age of 23. Rev. Page is an advocate of formal education and engaged learning. He has published several articles on the importance of involvement and development, specifically at the college level. In addition to his work in ministry, he has served as guest lecturer on issues of leadership development, mission and purpose. He centers his work in ministry around Romans 12:2: "And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God."
Rev. Page serves as Pastor at Serenity Church in Aurora, IL. He has earned degrees from Illinois State University (B.S. Philosophy, 2006) and Northern Illinois University (M.S. Ed., Student Affairs, 2011). He is currently a student at Northern Theological Seminary. While Rev. Page's biography is still being written, he assumes the title of 'Servant of God'. When asked to tell his story, the response is simple: "God has smiled on me."
Rev. Page has served on several boards and community organizations. Outside of Serenity and seminary, he works in corporate America as an account executive. Rev. Page is married to Mrs. Angelique M. Page, and the have two children: Kaitlyn Marie and Logan Tyler.

For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified. I came to you in weakness with great fear and trembling. My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit's power, so that your faith might not rest on human wisdom, but on God's power." - 1 Corinthians 2:1-5

What we believe
The following Articles of Faith are the core beliefs of Serenity Church, based on the foundational truths taught in the Bible. All of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these biblical doctrines.

Prayer
We believe in the power and importance of prayer. We are committed to corporate and private devotion. As the saying goes, "where there is prayer, there is much power."

Worship
We believe in the importance of sincere and expressive worship.
"But the time is coming---indeed it's here now---when true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and truth. The Father is looking for those who will worship Him that way. For God is Spirit, so those who worship Him must worship in spirit and in truth." - John 4: 23-24

Fellowship
We believe in the importance of collaboration, cooperation, and fellowship.
"Is there any encouragement from belonging to Christ? Any comfort from his love? Any fellowship together in the Spirit? Are your hearts tender and compassionate? Diversity
We believe that each person is unique and valuable. It is the will of God that every person belongs to a family of faith where they have a strong sense of being valued and loved.

Financial Stewardship
Financial Stewardship is the prerequisite to generosity. We commit ourselves to learning how to properly manage, and be good stewards, of our finances so that we can live well, serve, and love, without the burden of excessive debt.

Generosity
We believe we are blessed to be a blessing to others.

We believe in scholarship and the development of inquiry, critical thinking, and continual education.
